Over the years, superstar singer Rihanna has celebrated diversity and women of all shapes and colors. She has used her voice in humanitarian projects and in the fashion industry through prestigious collaborations with the house of Dior and Puma (she is the brand’s creative director after all). And this Autumn season witnesses Rihanna’s latest beauty related project: Fenty Beauty.
Rihanna insisted to create a makeup brand consisting of a global lineup of shades designed for all. Based on her experience as a woman of color, the Barbadian beauty found it quite difficult to apply products that worked across all skin types and tones.
As a very inclusive brand, Fenty Beauty offers a wide range of products for traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, creating formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades.
The “Fenty Face” was created for women of all skin tones and all personalities. It includes applying a soft matte filter, followed by layering the highlight and finally blotting for being shine-free. “These steps are key to starting your makeup, no matter the look you’re going for. This is where the fun begins,” said Rihanna
Rihanna assigned three prestigious makeup artists to represent Fenty Beauty around the world. A Team including James Kaliardos as Resident Artist, Priscilla Ono and Hector Espinal as Global Makeup Artists.
Fenty Beauty is created by Rihanna in partnership with Kendo Brands, a LVMH-owned beauty developer.
