Make-A-Wish Lands In Monaco

 

The Mediterranean Garden at the Monaco Bay Hotel played host to a glamorous charity event where international celebrities and prominent Monégasques gathered to support Make-A-Wish International. This charity gala, presented in collaboration with the esteemed Monte-Carlo Television Festival, aimed to raise funds for fulfilling the wishes of children with critical illnesses worldwide. With an overwhelming response from donors, the event has surpassed its fundraising goal.

The Night of 100 Stars was co-hosted by Maxime Dereymez, the acclaimed champion of Dancing with the Stars France, and well-known model and TV personality Victoria Silvstedt. The evening featured a captivating performance by Nade, a talented contestant from The Voice France 2023. Distinguished guests, including Princesses Carolina and Chiara Bourbon des deux Siciles, the cast of Little House on the Prairie, Ben Vereen,  Laury Thilleman, JoeyStarr, Adriana Karembeu, Vincent Niclo and Cathy Guetta, graced the occasion.

A real-life testimonial by 21-year-old Chiara from Italy had people in tears. The current medical student was granted her wish in 2019 as she battled cancer. Like many around the world, Make-A-Wish accompanied Chiara throughout her recovery journey and realized her life-long dream of visiting New York city. 

Luciano Manzo, the President and CEO of Make-A-Wish International, emphasized the significance of the Night of 100 Stars in bringing hope to the lives of children and families dealing with critical illnesses. He highlighted that while illness may rob a child of their childhood, fulfilling a wish has the potential to restore it. The event aimed at creating moments of happiness and motivation, with a focus on raising vital support for the 40 Affiliates of Make-A-Wish International, who granted over 19,500 wishes last year.
